30 October Childcare Deadline

If you are attending the 2016 MLA convention in Austin and would like to have childcare during the meeting, there’s still time to preregister for a possible on-site childcare service through KiddieCorp. If a sufficient number of children are registered for the service by 30 October, a daytime childcare center will operate in the Hilton Austin. If a sufficient number of children are not registered by that date, the MLA will have funds available to reimburse up to $300 to each member who uses childcare services provided by one of the convention hotels or another service during convention hours. If more requests are received than can be reimbursed with available funds, preference will be given to graduate students and members in lower-income categories. More information and a preregistration form are available on the MLA Web site.
